LDAP

The LDAP course provides knowledge of LDAP and its use in general, and the participants are trained in using and maintaining an open source LDAP server and its utilities. Planning, structuring and dimensioning are topics covered.

The students will establish and populate a complete Directory Information Tree, provoding a user database for access to a Linux system. Through exercises and practical tasks the participants will gain knowledge of access control and replication for dimensioning and high availability. During the course we will also look "under the hood" in order to enable the students to expand LDAP functionality.

Using the whole range of available tools, from the command line via web based applications to powerful management applications, the participants will get experience in using several administration interfaces.
